Sonic Transport is a UK haulage and courier business operating from the West Midlands. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and through our customer accounts.

- Collection and delivery addresses needed to plan your transport.
- Load details you provide such as weight, dimensions and description.
- Email correspondence and call records relating to bookings and support.

- To provide quotes, arrange collections and fulfil delivery contracts.
- To communicate about your booking, invoice and related operational matters.
- To comply with carrier record-keeping requirements and tax law.

Our lawful bases are contract (to deliver your transport), legitimate interest (to operate the business and secure our systems) and legal obligation (where records must be kept).
4. Sharing with third parties
We only share personal data where necessary to run the service:
- Our hosting and database providers (Bolt Cloud and Supabase) for website and form storage.
- Email delivery providers for booking confirmations.
- Sub-contracted carriers where required to complete a delivery - only the fields needed to complete the job.
- Accounting and auditing partners, under confidentiality.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies required for the website to function, plus limited analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns. We do not use cookies for targeted advertising.
6. Data retention
Quote enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months. Delivery records are kept for the period required by tax and carrier law (typically 6 years).
